Welcome to the Williamson Conservation & Sporting Club

WCSC Logo

We, the members of the Williamson Conservation and Sporting Club, are an integral part of the Williamson community and a community service organization. We provide hunter education, provide shooting safety training, and provide the conservation of a safe shooting sports environment for disciplined shooting sports practice and shooting sports competition. Our Sporting Clays course has no hills and is easy walking.

Clays Path

The Williamson Conservation and Sporting Club is located in Williamson, NY just 25 miles east of Rochester. A detailed map and driving directions are available here. We offer the full range of shooting disciplines including skeet, trap, sporting clays, and a rifle/pistol range. An archery range is also available.

The Williamson Conservation and Sporting Club prides itself on having one of the area's most scenic sporting clays courses. The 1 mile long course, which currently has over 39 stations and 32 Traps, is fully automatic and can be enjoyed without the need for a trapper. The clubhouse is newly remodeled, complete with handicap ramp access. Take a look at our collection of pictures of the course and club. Download out site Map here.

The club calendar tracks upcoming events and activities.

Membership information and an application form is available here.

NEWS BULLETIN:

Easter Sunday:
WCSC will be closed Easter Sunday, March 31st. No Sporting Clays or Skeet. THe ranges will be open normal hours.
Better Saturday Shoot:
Weather permitting, we will have a special Better Saturday Shoot on March 30th from 9am to 2pm, instead of a Good Friday Shoot. As always Charlie Schweigert will have a fish fry lunch with donations going to WCSC Youth Program. Non-members can shoot sporting clays at member prices.

M1-Garand Course: June 1, 2024 WCSC will be hosting a First Steps Rifle Course: The M1 Garand, Remembering D-Day: The 80th Anniversary. WCSC is offering the NRA First Steps Rifle Course focused on using the M1 Garand. More Information

Winter Hours: Starting Saturday, January 20th through March 23rd, the club house will be closed for Sporting Clays on Saturdays only. However, if a group of 4 or more is interested in shooting a round or two of Sporting Clays on a Saturday during this period, please contact Paul Lowans or Jeff Kunzer via their contact info on this website. We plan on reopening for Saturdays on April 6th. Special Winter Weather Warren: If the weather forecast for any Thursday or Sunday calls for temperatures of 20 degrees or lower, the clubhouse will automatically be closed. That means no Sporting Clays, Skeet or Trap, due to extreme winter weather conditions. Furthermore, if there is a “travel advisory” for either Monroe or Wayne Counties, WCSC WILL be closed. For other extreme weather conditions, please consult this website for closures. Notices should be posted on the day of closing by 8am. The range will remain open normal hours.

SPECIAL NOTICE:
according to some empty shotgun hulls found on the Sporting Clay's course at the Hangover Shoot, someone may have been shooting some #2 Steel Shot. It is a very strict WCSC rule that No Larger Than 7 1/2 Shot Size can be used on any clays shoot, that's Sporting Clays, Skeet or Trap. Doing so creates a very dangerous situation where shot can leave WCSC premises.

Special Notice: Active Duty Military can shoot at Member Prices. Please notify the person behind the counter that you are Active Duty Military when signing in and thank you for your service.

WCSC Youth Program
